This way, you can get back to reliable, accurate testing in a matter of seconds!

To identify the colour circuit board required for your AL6000 loosen the side screw and remove the black top cover to expose the sensor circuit board as shown. Choose red or green circuit board units. Please note units are not interchangeable and can not be replaced after fitting if you purchase the wrong colour unit.

Breathalyser Terminology
Breathalyser termonology simplified

Accuracy = the selectivity achievable when the sensor is correctly calibrated.

Often displayed as the variation accepted in %BAC ie +/- 0.01%BAC means the unit will display with an accuracy of + or - 0.01 on the display 0.05 the unit may display variance of 0.04 to 0.06 on a series of 3 tests done in sucession.

Greater variance would indicate possible loss of calibration, sensor failure, evaporating mouth alcohol or poor breath sampling technique

BAC = Blood alcohol concentration commonly displayed as a percentage %BAC or mg/100ml

BrAC = Breath alcohol concentration

Calibration = the service which sets the reading accuracy of the sensor. Breathalysers which do not have interchangeable sensor modules will need to be sent for service periodically for a calibration service to maintain their accuracy
